Pearl City Township

    Moving forward, and as part of the Group’s expansion plan, in 2008 Tambun Indah Group has commenced development in Pearl City on the freehold land strategically located at the Southern District of mainland Penang with proximity to key landmarks, and has excellent connectivity to major towns. Currently, Palmington Sdn Bhd and Tambun Indah Development Sdn Bhd, the subsidiary companies of Tambun Indah Group, are responsible for the development projects.

    To keep up with the changing trends in the real estate market and to create a whole new level of conducive and convenient living environment for Pearl City’s residents, one of the master strategies is to develop Pearl City into an integrated and dynamic self-sufficient town where residents will enjoy a wide spread of shopping, dining, leisure and entertainment amenities, all conveniently connected from the centre of the Business Park to the outskirt of the development.
The park also houses the first full-facility international school in Mainland Penang, Sri KDU International School, a globally renowned school for quality education. The school commenced in September 2015 and the 200,000 sq.ft. school premises which can cater for a total student capacity of 1,500 is slated to meet anticipated demand from locals as well as growing expat population in Mainland Penang. In addition, Pearl City Mall Phase 1 which is located on a 8.7-acre land in the centre of the Business Park opened for operations in April 2016 together with the anchor tenants comprising of C-Mart, Quan-U Furniture and Mr DIY and retailers such as Subway, Blackwood, Kopitan Classic, Watson Pharmacy etc., Pearl City mall has received good response from the shoppers.
The mall features leisure activities and provides a full range of products, food and beverage options and services for the convenience of existing and future residents of Pearl City. Future developments of the business park include a proposed sports complex, proposed medical centre and, more F&B outlets in Pearl City Mall Phase 2.
